Prosecutors have charged a Chicago college student with hate crimes, arson, damage to property, disorderly conduct and reckless conduct after Merlin Liu admitted to burning a cross in Grant Park.  Liu uploaded a video and then gave an interview to a local reporter claiming he didn’t realize the historic relevance and severity of a burning cross in this country. After following up on a tip, police have found a body in a wooded area that matches the description of missing 39-year-old Elena Katherine Moore. Moore, a personal trainer,  was last seen leaving the gym and walking into a wooded area. Her husband reported her missing the following day. 18-year-old Romanch Mahajan was celebrating his high school graduation with his parents and younger brother with a once in a lifetime trip to NYC.
