China releases details of recommendations for 15th Five-Year Plan

China has released details of the recommendations for formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for social and economic development, adopted at last week’s leadership meeting of the Communist Party of China.

Chinese Vice Commerce Minister Sheng Qiuping says preparations for the eighth China International Import Expo are nearly complete. The expo in Shanghai runs from November 5th to 10th.

China has completed a joint drill for the upcoming Shenzhou-21 crewed space mission as part of final preparations before the launch. The drill involved all members of the test-and-launch team at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China.

Official data shows profits of China's major industrial firms increased 3.2 percent year on year in the first nine months of 2025. In September, profits of major industrial firms recovered remarkably, rising 21.6 percent from the same period last year.

The Kremlin says new sanctions against Russia complicate efforts to restore relations with the United States. Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov says Russia is interested in building good relations with all countries.
