S8 Ep6: Brian Conley: I loved my XR3!

Fuelling Around is back for its ninth series, and the boys are launching with one of their favourite people on the planet! Kevin McCloud has hosted Grand Designs on Channel 4 for the past 25 years and shows no signs of stopping, but when he's not marvelling at ingenious architectural design, Kevin likes to indulge his other great love of cars! From his early days of chasing after supercars on the streets of London's west end, Paul has built his passion into a fully fledged business and now collaborates with the biggest car makers on the planet. Despite the fact that he's now undoubtedly a major player in the car content game, Paul is humble and refreshingly down to earth, as he shares the story of his incredible rise to the top!

On this week's show, Jason and Dave welcome along an entertainment juggernaut! A star of stage and screen who's done it all and shows no signs of stopping! He recently departed Albert Square to head up west for the bright lights of the Palladium, to perform with Bradley Walsh, Shane Richie and Joe Pasquale! It can of course, only be the one and only Mr Brian Conley!

On this week's episode, Jason and Dave talk beautiful aesthetics and stunning lines with a man who sees the craft and design in everything, Mr George Clarke! George has been mad on cars since he was a little boy growing up in Sunderland, but he appreciates their curves and contours more than most, and he's had an interesting collection of motors over the years, which he's not afraid to share with the lads!

A superstar DJ and a practicing music lawyer! It's an unlikely 2 hats to wear work wise, but that's the life of legendary deck spinner Judge Jules, as he travels around the world playing to huge crowds, and splitting his time between luxury homes in London and Mallorca. Added to the jet setter lifestyle are some pretty impressive cars, as Jules reminisces about his early days of motoring, and the cars that he now drives!

With the 2024 Formula One season about to launch, Jason and Dave welcome the legend that is David Coulthard into their pod paddock for a full preview of the upcoming 24 races, as DC prepares to pack his overnight bag and head to Bahrain!

On the show this week, the boys welcome into the studio one of Jason's oldest friends from the world of motorsport, the legend that is Tiff Needell! Tales a plenty of Jason's antics as a young and mischievous apprentice, and some expert analysis from Tiff of the greatest drivers of all time. This is a brilliant episode!

The boys are back with a brand new series of Fuelling Around, and what a way to kick off the run! Jason and Dave are in safe hands this week, as they're joined by an Arsenal and England legend between the sticks. It is of course the one and only Mr David Seaman!

For the final episode in the series, Jason and Dave are joined by a legend of British motor racing, in the form of Johnny Herbert. Johnny and Jason knew each other well in their younger days of karting as kids, and both then went on to enjoy highly successful careers in their respective racing fields. They even spent a season together in the BTCC, but more about that in the episode! It's a lovely way to wrap the series, as Johnny reminisces about the feeling of winning the British GP at Silverstone, as we all look back on a glorious day in British motorsport history!
