(2:30) Mark is a Raw Milk Farmer and has been for 27 years. (8:00) Pasteurization kills all the benefits of milk. Homogenization breaks up the butter fat for convenience’s sake. Mark explains other things that are done to commercial milk. Mark explains how he keeps raw milk clean and maintains its benefits. (12:00) The history of pasteurizing milk in the United States goes back to 1893. Milk used to get easily contaminated once dairies entered cities.  (16:00) Cities were filthy decades ago and created “the milk problem.” Thirty to forty percent of people would die from contaminated milk in the late 1800s. RFK Jr. recently stated, “Sugar is poison.” This message has needed to come from a government official for a long time. (18:00) The quantity of sugar consumed per capita has multiplied over the decades. A hybrid burger, “Both”, mixes meat with vegetables in the same patty. (28:00) Vinnie doesn’t like that the underlying message is that meat is bad, or at the very least, eat less meat. (30:30) Another hybrid "meat' is a chopped steak by Choppy. (33:00) Chris shares the ingredients, and it doesn’t sound great in Vinnie’s opinion. The desire for convenience makes people take shortcuts that they don’t need to. For example, feeding cereal to their child for breakfast instead of cooking eggs. Chris has some exercise questions for Vinnie. (43:00) Another fitness influencer suggests three things to do in the gym. Vinnie discusses why the three exercises may not be optimal. He suggests instead push-ups, assisted pull-ups, lunges, or bodyweight squats. Adding cardio and flexibility is always a plus, and it doesn’t have to be complex. Use code BOGO25. Vinnie talks about a recent consultation and how information has changed. (3:30) Cholesterol numbers are an example; he gives an analogy of a function of an engine. Electrolytes are not an energy source, like caffeine, but they are necessary to keep your body functioning. (9:45) The “rules” about hydration have changed over the years, such as how much water intake is recommended. (13:00) Misinformation about how much water to drink has led to incorrect or unnecessary habits. When you drink more water than necessary, you are depleting your body of electrolytes. Electrolytes help your body function. You stay hydrated by drinking the proper amount of water with salt and other electrolytes. Thinking you need a soda or Gatorade as a “boost” isn’t a good idea. The idea of drinking more water to lose weight isn’t really how it works. The Badwater Race occurs in one of the planet’s hottest places, Death Valley.
