After consulting with Everest's confidant from Vivicircuit, Columbia and Lucy follow up on a lead they found from Everest's apartment. Through some contacts Columbia made through the exchange, the team formulate a plan to break Everest out of the captive hands of the casino. Next, the pair head to the local casino, Vivicircuit, in order to stake out the joint for signs of Everest on her shift. Lucy Lawful meets Detective Columbia in her aquarium-turned P.I. Agency for the opportunity to shadow a true hard-boiled detective as research for an upcoming acting role.  The pair receive their first case together not long after - a distressed corporate accountant from the DMS walks in requesting special protection for her croupier sister during the weekend. She's concerned for her sister's wellbeing and needs a discreet eye on her whereabouts. As Columbia and Lawful follow up on her request, it becomes apparent that things don't quite add up...
