It's Taylar's week and to kick off the celebrations: YOU GET AN EARLY RELEASE OF PART 2!! Taylar covers part 2 of the case of the Bluebelle. It was November 1961 when the Dupperault Family of 5 left Fort Lauderdale on the Bluebelle with Julian Harvey as their Skipper. What was supposed to be a week of incredible memories ended in horror when Harvey was discovered floating in the middle of the Northwest Providence Channel in a dingy with the lifeless body of a little girl by an oil tanker - alone. Harvey would then tell investigators a tragic tale about a squall that was so strong it forced the ketch to keel over before swinging upright at such a force that the main mast snapped in half, falling on the deck, damaging the boat, starting a fire, and ultimately sinking the Bluebelle, as well as the lives of the Duperrault family and his own wife. Investigators had no reason not to believe his story- that is until the Greek Freighter, Captain Theo, spotted a small oblong cork float carrying an unconscious little girl clinging on to her life floating in the middle of the ocean. Morgan then covers the case of the Smurl Family Haunting in the Chase Street Home from August of 1973 in West Pittston, PA. This family was terrorized by four entities in their home for years, experiencing traumatizing encounters almost hourly. Though there is controversy around the case, it is important that we unpack why and where this stems from especially due to the Content warning in this case for SA. Between the years of 1957 and 1964, The Allan Memorial Institute located in Montreal, Canada was subject to the role of the CIA'S project MKUltra- this inhumane experimentation was undertaken and run by the institute's founding Director, Dr Donald Ewen Cameron. Next, Taylar covers the case of Suzanne Streeter, Sherrill Levitt, and Stacy McCall or "The Springfield Three". These two best friends and mother go missing from their home in the early morning hours of June 7, 1992. A day supposed to be filled with graduation celebrations ended in tragedy that remains a mystery to this day. Once Taylar finished her case and they wrapped up the episode, they realized the recording was 3 hours long with Taylar's case taking up 1hr & 45 minutes. Happy Thursday besties!
