Episode 898: Spring 2025 Previews #2

This week on Anime Pulse we got vtuber drama, baseball, and bunny girls. Up first Joseph has recovered from his cold and bought some delicious sandies, and Andrew is hopping right into it with who we think the best bunny girls (and guys) in anime are. Then in the industry news the popular vtuber Sinder is in hot water after allegations are posted about her, and gundam umbrellas. Finally another round of previews wraps us up as Joseph goes to a baseball game where he meets his sexy robot sister who is not related to him now, and Andrew goes on a journey to cure his curse of turning into a fat white pig by singing with a bunch of witches.

It kind of sucks when we get a themed episode thrust upon us. Because we’re very bad at making a theme. Then someone dies and we comb over their catalog for something interesting. Which can also make for a bad episode. So we decided to do two of Val Kilmer’s lesser discussed films together. It doesn’t hurt that we’ve seen both before. That made this a bit of a refresher. Up first Andrew talks about the exciting and worrisome Switch 2 announcement, and Joseph is feeling good after an eight mile walk right before the podcast. Then in the industry news, there is none! This week on Anime Pulse we got butt slapping little sisters, graduating vtubers, and something weird is going on. Up first IRL news has Andrew confessing to buying more questionable stickers, and Joseph talks about his trip to Scotland. Then in the industry news we have another Andrew Sandwich with Ghibli fans losing it over a new AI Chatbot, a shrine permanently banning tourists, and yet another EN Hololive member leaves the company. And finally in the reviews Andrew gets isekai'd into a really shitty imitation of Arifureta, and Joseph puts on a sailor uniform, sniffs his feet, and gets his ass slapped.
