Kerry Hasenbalg met Jesus at a young age through her mother’s faith. However, the transfer of that faith did not become her own until she studied abroad in Russia. She married a precious Christian man from church and together they set about becoming a family together. Everything seemed almost storybook until they set about adopting a troubled little boy. Though a church goer all her life, it was in college that Margaret first heard the Gospel and received Jesus as her Lord. Put off at first by the idea of leaving America as a missionary, she was nevertheless compelled to yield her whole life to whatever plans God had for her. Yielding to God became the slogan of her life. She went to the Central Republic of Africa in 1924 and spent the next forty years ministering, loving, and sharing the Gospel with the Banda people.
