In this episode Emily talks with Archana Soreng, a climate activist who belongs to the Khadia Tribe from Odisha, India. Archana, who was a member of the inaugural United Nations Secretary-General’s Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change from 2020–2023 and is currently a Skoll Fellow and a climate adviser to the Rockefeller Foundation, shares her journey from growing up in an indigenous community to becoming an advocate for indigenous rights, youth leadership and climate action. They discuss her work fighting for inclusive policy-making and implementation, drawing from her experience of working with indigenous communities.
