Her passion to care for the underserved brought her to India where she strives not only to care for those less fortunate but teach her trainees about the importance of patient advocacy. She continues to be involved in global education and is someone we can all learn from in ophthalmology and in life.

Dr Arthur Cummings is an ophthalmologist who is changing the way the world views refractive surgery. Arthur is a brilliant refractive surgeon in Dublin, Ireland who is well known for his research and publications. His eloquent writing simplifies the most complicated refractive topics. Arthur is passionate about driving the Refractive Surgery Alliance to revolutionise the image of refractive surgery by developing an incredible refractive fellowship program as well as a college of refractive surgery. Arthur has an incredible understanding of the role of ophthalmology in society that definitely deserves a second look.
