It's been long road for John but his journey has made him more than ready for his upcoming feature film directorial debut Lie of the Land. John began his career editing in television and working with Northern Ireland production company Stirling Productions.
John went on to direct a number of short films including Exposure (2013), Echoes (2018), The Silence Between (2022). The quality of his short films led to him getting to direct his first feature film Lie of the Land which has just finished production.
John reveals his filmmaking journey and what it takes to make a feature film on this latest edition of The Scene.
You can watch Lie of the Land at the upcoming Belfast Film Festival on Tuesday the 7th of November at 8.30pm at The Strand cinema in Belfast.
