Nathan Cofnas* is an American postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University in Belgium, focusing on the philosophy of biology and ethics, with a particular interest in scientific and ethical controversies connected with evolution-informed social science. After publishing an article detailing the truth about plagiarist and fabulist, Jason Arday (now deceased), Cofnas was subject to mass condemnation and protest. He was vilified as a racist and suspended by Ghent University, under investigation for "discrimination." Meghan Murphy speaks with him about his work, his views on DEI, and the backlash he received in response to his article.
