In B-movies & LSD (Season 1 - Dutch spoken). In Episode 8 of The Infected podcast, six tracks were featured:
- Vision Video – "Inked in Red" Frontman Dusty, a paramedic and firefighter from Athens, Georgia, wrote this track as a metaphor for his personal journey from trauma to healing.
- B-Movie – "Corridors" From their 2016 album Climate of Fear, this song evokes the New Romantic vibe of the 1980s. Originally formed in 1980, B-Movie's name was inspired by an Andy Warhol painting. Despite disbanding in 1983, they reunited in 2004, continuing to produce music with a darker post-punk influence.
- Echo & the Bunnymen – "The Killing Moon" A standout track from their 1984 album Ocean Rain, known for its haunting guitar intro, which was a serendipitous creation during a tuning session. The song gained further recognition through its inclusion in the film Donnie Darko.
- Type O Negative – "Love You to Death" A gothic love song from their 1996 album October Rust, penned by the late Peter Steele. The track is noted for its eerie beauty and is considered one of the band's most iconic songs.
- The Glove – "Perfect Murder" A collaboration between Robert Smith of The Cure and Steven Severin of Siouxsie and the Banshees, this track is from their 1983 album Blue Sunshine. The album and song were inspired by the 1978 horror film Blue Sunshine, which explores the effects of a fictional batch of LSD.
- Lowlife – "Sullen Sky" A track by the Scottish post-punk band Lowlife, known for their melancholic soundscapes and introspective lyrics.
Additionally the movie Donnie Darko was discussed and warmly recommended, as well as its soundtrack.
