Brian Jeffrey Raymond, a former CIA officer, was sentenced to 30 years in prison in September 2024 for drugging, sexually assaulting, and filming more than two dozen women across multiple countries over a 14-year period. Raymond used his position while working for the U.S. government, including during his time at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City, to target and exploit his victims. Many of the assaults occurred at his government-leased housing in Mexico City, where he lured women through dating apps. He often drugged them using a combination of alcohol and substances like Ambien, rendering them unconscious before assaulting them.

Raymond admitted to engaging in non-consensual sexual acts with several victims and took hundreds of photos and videos of them while they were unconscious. The investigation began in May 2020 after a woman was seen screaming for help from his balcony. A search of his devices uncovered nearly 500 explicit images and videos of unconscious women, leading to his arrest and subsequent guilty plea in 2023.

In addition to his prison sentence, Raymond was ordered to pay $260,000 in restitution to his victims and will remain on lifetime supervised release after serving his time. He will also be required to register as a sex offender for life. His actions have been described as a long-running, calculated exploitation of vulnerable women.
