Georgie Carroll is a British born, Australia based Nurse turned comedian who grafted 20 years on the healthcare front line before swapping the pen torch for the spotlight. Her latest show, Sista Flo 2.0, has toured over 150 dates in Australia winning Best Comedy Award at the Adelaide Fringe, and is now returning to the Edinburgh Fringe.
In this episode we discuss why recording a special at the Sydney Opera House wasn’t a dream, transforming medical stories into stand-up material and the strong community that comes with being a nurse.
