Sarah Hadland may be known to many as Miranda’s best mate Stevie in the BBC sitcom, but she’s often busy on stage, having recently appeared in plays at the Almeida, Donmar Warehouse and Trafalgar Studios. As soon as Pasek and Paul's hit musical Dear Evan Hansen announced its West End transfer, speculation was rife about who would take on the eponymous role. That responsibility fell to graduate Sam Tutty, an avid fan of the show from its early days. David Bedella is a West End actor whose previously appeared in The Producers, The Rocky Horror Show and, perhaps most popularly controversially, Jerry Springer The Opera. Now, he's taking on a brand new musical in And Juliet, the Shakespeare-inspired musical set to the massive pop hits of Max Martin, including the likes of Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, Jessie J and more. This week’s guest is the actor Adam Gillen. Known for his stage roles in the National Theatre's production of Amadeus, and the recent revival of Tract Letts' Killer Joe, Gillen is currently starring in Radio, a one-man play at the Arcola Theatre in London. We met Adam in rehearsals, and spoke about the pressures of performing a one-person piece, the lasting impact his teachers have had on him, his favourite theatres in London, and why he chose to make Mozart dab. This week’s guest is the Australian comic Felicity Ward, who is about to star in the play Kill Climate Deniers which sees a group of environmental protesters raid a Fleetwood Mac concert at Canada House. As well as the play, Felicity discusses balancing rehearsals with the Cricket World Cup, Australian vocabulary, and the importance of a good show title. Kill Climate Deniers is at the Pleasance Theatre until 28th June.
