Welcome to The Science of Habit Part 2: why habits won’t stick (and how to get them to)! In Part 1, we learned about the “habit loop” which explains how habits work and what is happening in your brain when we engage in an automatic behavior. In today’s episode, we’re using real life examples to illustrate how anyone can use the habit loop in order to create NEW habits. I’ll also touch on the 2 key components that ensure your new behavior turns into an automatic and permanent change. Without these 2 things, it can be nearly impossible to stick to a new habit... yikes!
Be sure to subscribe for The Science of Habit Part 3, which will discuss how to eliminate (or rather, overwrite) bad habits. Happy habit building!
