She earned her PhD in History at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2022. She specializes in modern Brazilian history through the lens of race, class, and gender. Dr. Osei was a 2019 – 2020 Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad fellow in São Paulo, Brazil. Beginning August 2022, she will be an Assistant Professor of History at Bucknell University.
