A federal judge ruled AI training on legally obtained, copyrighted works is fair use - at least for now - but confirmed that using pirated copies is not. Certainly this is only one small step in the legal battle over AI and copyright, but incredibly interesting nonetheless.
In happier news, soon your Android-powered phone will be able to tell you if you are covertly being spied on by a government-deployed Stingray. Yay!
