This week the girls are catching up on Leslie's dad and making sure he is doing okay.  She also talks about her mom and the poems she wrote over the years. She is planning to go fishing with her dad and go to church for Father's Day.  Rochelle picks a hero of the podcast and also talks about Jelly Roll. Not a fabric jelly roll. Jelly Roll, the rapper. Rochelle asks Leslie if she has heard of hipcamp.com. People who are looking for boondocking sites can rent these! Rochelle brings Sam's Club's new popcorn for Leslie to try. It's fantastic! Rochelle talks about the water issues at her house. Yikes! They also talk about the tornado weather that has been happening in their area.  Rochelle brings Leslie up to speed on her most recent OBGYN visit where she needs to educate the young CNA on our priorities at this age. And... Dirty minds! If you picked the "W" as the 3rd letter, you're absolutely right! Leslie's daughter's birthday was at the end of May and they talk about plans for celebrating as a family. They do talk about quilts eventually. They talk about antique quilts and about museum quilts. They still are fascinated by vintage quilts that are in Goodwill that are being used in clothing. This week the girls get a few fun gifts from some precious listeners and open them during the show. Rochelle issues an apology to Jarma regarding the Peeps conversation last week. She also talks about her new quilting space and how it is coming along. She has some new ideas on how to utilize her guest room. Leslie talks about the recent guild meeting she attended in her home town of Fort Smith, Arkansas. The Belle Point Quilters' Guild was a delight!  They talk about burritos and tacos and how they may be considered sandwiches and also catch up on Rochelle's recent interview on the A Quilter's Life podcast. This week the girls visit with The Little Green Bean herself, Missy Luukkonen! She may be best known for her gnome shop on Etsy, but she is a full-time maker and has been sewing for more than 30 years! Her whimsical, but practical items caught Leslie's eye and her love for teaching caught Ro's. She runs her business full time with her husband, Mike. They have 3 boys and live in Minnesota, where the summers are wonderful and the winters are long! She learned to sew in high school and has loved it ever since.  She is now enjoying the opportunity to connect with crafters all over the world through her teaching platform.
