On this week's episode of RunThrough presents 'Gone Running' Ben speaks to Michael Burton.
Michael is an endurance athlete who completed 32 Ironman 70.3s in 32 days, one for every county in Ireland. At 18, Michael went through an incredibly tough period and at times, didn’t want to be here. Since then he has turned his life around, and now inspires many others who may be battling through hard times in their own lives.
In this conversation, Ben and Michael talk about his move from London to Portugal, why London ultimately wasn’t for him, how he looks back at his 18-year-old self, and the monumental next challenge that will see him running 6000K over 60 days. They also delve into Michael’s feelings towards pain and how, you are capable of so much, whether you believe it or not.
