Remembrance: Looking back and moving forward

When you find yourself in an arid place, when life is a struggle or we just feel we have lost our way, there is hope! The wilderness may be a place of testing or preparation, it may be a mirror to reveal who we truly are and help us to grow, but more importantly, we are never in that place alone. God is always present to help and guide. In this episode we discuss the reality that so many face and point to the hope and opportunities that are present in midst of the desert.

Remembrance honours those who serve to defend our freedom and way of  life. It recognises the sacrifice of the Armed Forces across history, as well as loss of those emergency services and innocent civilians killed through conflict and terrorism. As we reflect on the importance of this moment, we consider the importance of asking the right questions: Why are people willing to serve and sacrifice everything and what should our response be as we face the future? 

Sacrifice can be a sign of great strength rather than weakness and to put others first can be the key to success rather than failure. In this podcast we explore the fundamental value of the soldier in putting their life on the line for their cause, country and comrades.
