We’ve come to New York to follow election day in the state where both candidates currently live. The eyes of the world are on New York City this week with both teams in town, but only one can win. This election has widened the divide in America and we find ourselves asking the same tiresome question we've been asking since June 24th; how do we bridge that divide?

Fear & Loathing is a transatlantic quest across a divided political landscape. We’re travelling around the UK and along the US Presidential Election campaign trail listening to voters, journalists and politicians. Inspired by Hunter S Thompson’s 1972 campaign diaries, we are confronting the West’s burgeoning nationalism, examining what has brought us here and where we are heading. Our research will be used to create Squint’s 2017 production, Fear & Loathing. Follow our journey @squinttheatre.
