PHONE TAP 3: You Are Not Alone 2

This episode is a little all over the place BUT everything is all connected. By sharing my experience and feelings around a recent breakup / relationship, my challenges with maintaining my son's regular visits, and my current living situation, we finally get a really DEEP look at the 360 degree effects of what being a lifelong creative can mean. This episode is part phone tzp and part diary rant, on the topic if poscasting. As a bonus, there is a tiny lesson to be learned about the value of investing in yourself and "you get what you pay for" when it comes to pursuing ur creative ambitions.

A long winded diary recording at the end of a equally long & tiring day, that starts slow and ends strong! Overall it's a valuable & visceral update on the challenges I'm facing with the many creative projects that I currently have on the go.

Using a very personal story/ experience I have a semi serious conversation, with my frequent creative collaborator, on the importance of addressing anxiety, burn out and mental health in general before it spirals out of control.

This is the 1st episode that I actually pre-planned what I wanted to discuss. In light of recent feedback from a listener, I decided to address the issue of why I chose to be so painfully transparent with expressing my emotions and the details of my life on Creative Matters podcast. Hopefully this will clarify why some episodes are "so serious"...and simultaneously make listening a little more rewarding for everyone :)

While guest hosting my sister podcast (Capes & Mics), Mylo blessed me with an additional 30 min of personal stories of how his own creative work has affected his dating & family life.

It's a tale as old as time...a creative soul feeling trapped in a "soul sucking" day job. In this episode we confront this all too common situation head on, as I try to fight through some serious feelings of anxiety & fear, on the first day of training for yet, another monotonous day job that doesn't work for me.

In this completely casual and unplanned episode, we get an introduction to another frequent collaborator in my creative world...my friend and artist Robb Clarke. As we test the phone connection for recording my sister podcast (Capes & Mics), we eventually slip into an in depth, relaxed and informative conversation on using Etsy & Instagram to sell your creative work.
