SHIELD: Case Files: Hawkeye #102 "Hide and Seek"

Kingpin won't take Maya's no for an answer. Since she refused to return with him, he is going to destroy her family, her town, and her life. Fisk's men get ready to destroy the upcoming Pow Wow while the big man himself kidnaps Chula and Bonnie. May dons her new Echo outfit that Chula made for her and prepares for the fight of her life. Channeling her powerful ancestors, she takes on the dangerous crime boss and his men. Jay and Josh join the fight so they can get a corn dog at the Pow Wow on the season finale of SHIELD: Case Files.

Now that Kingpin has revealed to Maya that he is very much alive, he does what he does best; intimidate! He claims to Maya that all is forgiven and asks her to come back to New York with him. This turn of events causes her to have the most intense visions yet, which leads her straight to Chula. Despite her grandmother's explanation of the intense feelings she was having when Maya's mother died, Maya is upset that she chose herself over her granddaughter. Now Maya has to choose between Fisk, family, or herself. Jay and Josh both use hi-tech contacts to try to understand what each other are saying on SHIELD: Case Files.

Maya's plan to destroy a shipment of Kingpins went according to plan. So why is everything crashing down on her all of a sudden? She's having visions of her strong ancestors. Chula and Bonnie both know she's in town, and both have strong feelings about it. She's without a good leg after hers was crushed. And to top off her day, Vickie the skate cleaner kidnaps her and holds her at the skating rink until Fisk's men arrive. Maya has a plan to start her war with Kingpin. With the help of her cousin Biscuits she gathers some equipment and hijacks a train with Fisk's weapons. For the most part the plan goes well, but her artificial leg is damaged. She goes to Skully to get it repaired, but her effort to lay low in town is becoming impossible to continue. And Henry warns her that she is starting a war she can't win. Jay and Josh pull their engineer cap down tight on SHIELD: Case Files.

Get to know Echo, aka Maya Lopez, as we begin the series that will tell of her dark origins. Because of the unfortunate death of her mother and her father's criminal dealings, Maya Lopez was forced to grow strong and smart throughout her life. Despite not being able to hear, and losing a leg in a car accident that killed her mother, she has become a confident woman. But when her father is killed, she begins working as a weapon of the evil Kingpin. Jay and Josh grab their roller skates and boogie to the J. Geils band on SHIELD: Case Files.

Now that Kate knows the truth about her mother, she and Clint must work together to put a stop to it all before Kingpin kills Eleanor (not to mention Clint and Kate). Together they team up with their LARPer friends to patrol the Christmas party. When chaos ensues, the Rockefeller Christmas decorations set the background of an epic battle which eventually pits Kate against Kingpin and Clint against Yelena. Jay and Josh secure the support cables of the Christmas tree on SHIELD: Case Files.

What happened to Yelena during the blip? We find out and discover her motivation for seeking out Clint. Kate, feeling dejected and alone after being dismissed by Clint, returns home to her mother where she explains what they found out about Jack. Taking this to heart, Eleanor calls the police on him. Clint, knowing that he has to put an end to this mess, dons the Ronin suit once more and confronts Maya. Kate returns to help and then they discover a very fat secret about who is behind all of this. Jay and Josh teach Pizza Dog tricks on SHIELD: Case Files Eve.

Clint and Kate are beginning to bond. She brings him lots of holiday cheer to make him feel better and he even teaches her a thing or two about shooting with accuracy. But his longing for family and his guilt about the actions he took as Ronin still hang heavy. When our dynamic duo set out to get back a stolen watch, they are attacked by Maya and a very dangerous Black Widow agent. Jay and Josh fling coins at each other's heads but mostly just end up with a lot of coins on the floor on SHIELD: Case Files.

Clint Barton is pretty good at getting out of any tricky situation, even being held by the Tracksuit Mafia. Kate being stuck with him makes it a little harder, as does the dangerous leader of the group, Echo. Luckily, they do and then try to figure out what they should do next. It may lead back to Eleanor's fiance Jack, who may be one step ahead of them. Plus, we see a little background on the mysterious and dangerous Echo. She has had a challenging life, but it has made her strong. Jay and Josh think maybe they should walk the dog on SHIELD: Case Files.

Hawkeye has Kate, but they've lost the Ronin suit. Clint regrets that he's missing time with his family, but he knows that it's his responsibility to make up for the sins of his past. He makes sure that Kate is safe, and tracks down where the suit has ended up. A firefighter has secured the ninja apparel for his live action role playing. Clint manages to get it back and make a new friend, but he's going to have to get more information from the guys that are after Kate. Jay and Josh tighten their armor in preparation for trial by combat on SHIELD: Case Files.
