Dems Call for Government to Take Companies Away From Elon Musk

Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they consider Jim's latest discoveries in the convoluted immigration story of Rep. Ilhan Omar, public GOP sniping in South Carolina and other states, Abdul El-Sayed finding the droning of Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri "troubling," and Trump & others regularly talking about politicians' backsides.First, Jim takes us through his research into the debate over Rep. Omar's age, why it matters a lot for her immigration status, and the mystery surrounding her father's immigration to the U.S. Jim also explains what the likely story is about the role of Omar's dad in the Somalian genocide and refugee crisis.Next, they wince as Senate polls in South Carolina are very close and GOP Rep. Ralph Norman is publicly fuming about how the party forced Darline Graham on the voters. Jim and Greg agree Graham is a weak candidate, but they also don't love the intraparty sniping just days before the election. Then, they shake their heads as 2022 comments from Abdul El-Sayed call the U.S. killing of Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri "troubling" and accuse President Biden of "flogging" War on Terror talking points to justify it.Finally, why do President Trump and others keep referencing politicians' backsides in recent rallies? Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch as they have plenty to say about a blatantly anti-Semitic PAC ad for Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Rick Caruso inexpicably endorsing Mayor Karen Bass for re-election, new research showing paper straws are worse for the environment than plastic straws, and Florida Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Angie Nixon's less than reassuring thoughts on Cuba.First, they slam a despicable new ad from Cenk Uygur's Rebellion PAC in support of Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, blaming rising prices on Israel. Jim and Greg point out the obvious, deep flaws in the ad and also note that, as of this recording, neither El-Sayed nor his campaign had denounced the ad.Next, they scratch their heads as 2022 Los Angeles mayoral candidate Rick Caruso endorses Mayor Karen Bass for re-election against socialist Nithya Raman. But after four horrible years of failed leadership under Bass, Jim and Greg wonder why Caruso decided to endorse in this race at all. Then, they thoroughly enjoy the news that Korean researchers have determined that paper straws are worse for the environment than plastic straws. Besides noting the environmentalists are wrong yet again, Jim and Greg discuss the stupidity of paper straws and the decades-long war of paper vs. plastic bags at the grocery store. Finally, they shake their heads as Florida U.S. Senate candidate Angie Nixon, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, seems pretty clueless about whether communists run the Cuban government. Please visit our great sponsors:HomeServeProtect your home with HomeServe.  For 50% off your first year, go to https://HomeServe.com/Martini for the plan that’s right for you. Join Jim and Greg for the Monday 3 Martini Lunch as they talk about Barack Obama downplaying Abdul El-Sayed's radical affiliations as him just wanting everyone to have health care. El-Sayed's Democratic primary rival sounding less than enthused about him in the general election, lefties calling for the government to nationalize Elon Musk's companies, and the new jingle trying to explain Alaska's insane ranked choice voting system.First, they dissect former President Obama's disingenuous dismissal of concerns about El-Sayed and saying there's nothing radical about wanting people to get health care. Jim explains how Obama has a long history of trying to distract us from terrorist connections and they both hammer him for making health care far more expensive than before Obamacare.Next, they get a laugh as Rep. Haley Stevens squirms on CNN and gives very tepid support to El-Sayed in next week's elections. Then, they unload on former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich after he urges Democrats to nationalize SpaceX and Starlink because Elon Musk should not own those companies - and because Musk is spending big bucks on GOP candidates in the midterms. Finally, they react to Alaska Sen. Dan Sullivan's new ad featuring a song that explain how he he wants Alaska voters to approach the ridiculous ranked choice voting system next week. Please visit our great sponsors:HomeServeProtect your home with HomeServe.  For 50% off your first year, go to https://HomeServe.com/Martini for the plan that’s right for you. Welcome to Last Call, a look at the biggest stories Jim and Greg covered over the past week on the 3 Martini Lunch. This week, they discuss Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar's answer to whether she married her brother, the radical left in France continuing to burn down the nation's history and culture, another fake polling firm getting exposed, and a special anniversary for our podcast.First, they react to Rep. Omar being asked by MSNOW whether she married her brother and Omar answering "not to my knowledge." That's a major shift from her previous responses and comes as Omar is the subject of an intensifying immigration fraud investigation.Next, they fume over the left continuing to riot and destroy in France. Somehow "protests" over education are leading to widespread arson and other destruction, including the torching of the historic town hall in Limoges. Jim and Greg explain why this chaos has nothing to do with the stated issues and how weak the French government looks in response. Then, a second polling firm has now admitted that it fabricated results and was just trying to see how easy it was for media outlets and others to accept their results with little to no scrutiny. Finally, Jim and Greg celebrate 16 years and counting of the 3 Martini Lunch. Please visit our great sponsors:Human Coalition It only takes a monthly donation of $26 to create a life-saving moment. Join Jim and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss new data showing red states doing far better than blue states in job creation, Hillary Clinton wanting to pack the Supreme Court with one revealing condition, Democrats' disgusting meddling in two Senate races, and the stupidity of overseas NFL games.First, they're glad to see new numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showing red states with the best job growth compared to just before the Covid lockdowns. Most of the worst-performing states are blue states. Jim and Greg explain why this is consistently the case.Next, they respond to Hillary Clinton urging the creation of four more seats on the U.S. Supreme Court. But does she want to do it now? No, she doesn't. Jim and Greg expose the left's unhealthy demonization of the court and its relentless quest for power. Then, they look at the Alaska Senate race, where lots of left-wing money is being spent to promote little-known Dan Sullivan because he is running against GOP Sen. Dan Sullivan. But that's not who the Dems actually want to win. And in Montana, Dems are livid that their own nominee won't drop out to improve the odds of the "independent" candidate they really prefer. Finally, they fume over the NFL games played in Europe in the wake of a major medical controversy and a game being played this weekend amid the unrest in Paris. Please visit our great sponsors:Human Coalition It only takes a monthly donation of $26 to create a life-saving moment. Join Jim and Greg for the Thursday 3 Martini Lunch as they dissect Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar's answer to whether she married her brother, Michigan GOP Senate candidate Mike Rogers exposing Democrat Abdul El-Sayed as a serial liar, Belgium taking forever to fix F-16's used by Ukraine, and the feds indicting one of the most powerful Democrats in Virginia.First, they react to Rep. Omar being asked by MSNOW whether she married her brother and Omar answering "not to my knowledge." That's a major shift from her previous responses and comes as Omar is the subject of an intensifying immigration fraud investigation.Next, Mike Rogers exposes the litany of lies Abdul El-Sayed has told about his personal past, his ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, never actually being licensed as a physician, and more. Jim wonders if Rogers has too many good avenues to attack El-Sayed.Then, they scratch their heads as a Belgian firm is taking up to 40 weeks to do maintenance on the F-16's we gave Ukraine, when U.S. personnel usually do it in less than a month. Finally, Virginia State Senate President L. Louise Lucas is indicted on a series of serious federal charges. Please visit our great sponsors:Human Coalition It only takes a monthly donation of $26 to create a life-saving moment. Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they dig into Maryland Gov. Wes Moore's bizarre deal with owners and operators of the the ship that knocked a bridge in Baltimore, Vivek Ramaswamy's very controversial ad featuring his opponent's mother, Russia freeing a U.S. hostage but the U.S. response is way too kind, and another fake polling firm getting exposed.First, they scratch their heads over Jim's reporting that Maryland Gov. Wes Moore signed a contract that seems suspiciously generous towards the owners and operators of the ship that caused the Francis Scott Key Bridge to collapse in Baltimore.Next, they wince over Ohio GOP gubernatorial nominee Vivek Ramaswamy's ad featuring the estranged mom of Democratic nominee Amy Acton, especially since Acton formally accused her stepfather of repeated sexual abuse when she was 12 and her mother sided with the stepfather. Jim and Greg discuss why this ad was a bad idea on multiple levels and why other Ohio Republicans may end up paying for it.Then, they welcome Russia's release of American hostage Stephen Hubbard after four years in captivity. But they wince as U.S. Envoy Steve Witkoff thanks Russian President Vladimir Putin by calling him a "humanitarian."Finally, a second polling firm has now admitted that it fabricated results and was just trying to see how easy it was for media outlets and others to accept their results with little to no scrutiny. Please visit our great sponsors:Human Coalition It only takes a monthly donation of $26 to create a life-saving moment. Join Greg and former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli for the Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch, as they dissect Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin's comments about deterring future Trump administration staffers, Virginia's truly radical constitutional amendment proposals, midterm election integrity concerns, and why the 2025 election results in Virginia should be a warning to the rest of the U.S. heading into the midterms.First, they discuss Sen. Slotkin's comments urging Democrats to pursue "signature" investigations and prosecutions of President Trump and others around him in order to deter young people from serving in his administration. Cuccinelli explains why this is so disturbing and why he isn't buying Slotkin's attempts to clarify her statement.Next, they examine Virginia's three far left proposed constitutional amendments which are focused on abortion, marriage, and voting rights for felons. Cuccinelli reveals how the abortion amendment is really a sex amendment and would set the stage for legalizing statutory rape. Then, they shake their heads over election integrity concerns, including a D.C-based radio host getting an absentee ballot from California despite moving out of state 15 years ago, another media figure getting four ballots in the mail for four different people, and much more. Finally, Greg and Ken explain how the campaign from Democrats this year sound a lot like the one made by Democrats in Virginia last year. And the results in the Old Dominion are nothing close to what was promised.Ken Cuccinelli was the 46th Virginia Attorney General. He also served as a state senator and is now chairman of the Election Transparency Initiative. Please visit our great sponsors:Human Coalition It only takes a monthly donation of $26 to create a life-saving moment. Join Jim and Greg for the Monday 3 Martini Lunch as they consider Barack Obama having the gall of accusing others of targeting Americans for their political beliefs and speech, the radical left in France continuing to burn down the nation's history and culture, Abdul El-Sayed's absurd explanation for why his family calls him "Abdul," and a special anniversary for our podcast.First, they shake their heads as former President Obama vigorously defends Rep. Ilhan Omar and denounces the Trump administration for an allegedly political raid and investigation. Obama also pretends to be a fierce guardian of not targeting people for their political beliefs or speech, but his record tells a very different story.Next, they fume over the left continuing to riot and destroy in France. Somehow "protests" over education are leading to widespread arson and other destruction, including the torching of the historic town hall in Limoges. Jim and Greg explain why this chaos has nothing to do with the stated issues and how weak the French government looks in response. Then, they roll their eyes as Michigan U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed was found claiming back in 2018 that his family started calling him by a shorter first name because Paula Abdul became famous. Finally, Jim and Greg celebrate 16 years and counting of the 3 Martini Lunch. Please visit our great sponsors:Human Coalition It only takes a monthly donation of $26 to create a life-saving moment. Join Jim and Greg for this special edition of Last Call, as they remember the greatness of the 1980's. Weeks ago, while promoting a movie, actor Ryan Reynolds called the '80's "brutal" and a "mess" with "division everywhere." That's not how Jim and Greg remember it, so they recall the politics of the 1980's, what they miss from that era, and what they definitely don't miss.First, they focus on the politics of the decade, which means the Reagan presidency. They examine Reagan's electoral triumphs, his good nature, and his greatness in winning the Cold War. They also discuss Reagan's skills as the "Great Communicator" and how the media was different in its approach to news then.Next, they dive into the things they miss about the 1980's, especially the far superior pop culture offerings in film, television, and music. They also savor the freedom they had as kids then and note a critical aspect of childhood in the '80's that can only be appreciated now. Then, they go through the things they don't miss from that decade - much of it either related to less advanced technology or society just being a lot different then. They also examine aspects of the news media they definitely don't want to come back. Finally, Jim and Greg spent a few minutes on the pinnacle of cinematic excellence from the 1980's.Please visit our great sponsors:Trees.comGet additional 20% better plants and better growing at Trees.com using code MARTINI at checkout.Visit https://Trees.com  Now’s the perfect time to plant - let’s grow together.Human CoalitionIt only takes a monthly donation of $26 to create a life-saving moment.
