Two great Sherlock Classics done a little differently (and better than most) by award winning John Stanley (1948)

Two great episodes from South African Springbok Radio featuring Sherlock Holmes mysteries- Enjoy! Stories of Sherlock Holmes ran on South African 'Springbok Radio' in the early 1980's. It starred Graham Armitage as Sherlock and Kerry Jordan as Watson. Watson is no longer the bumbling mumbling Watson of Nigel Bruce. The stories do not attempt to stick to the original Conan Doyle canon.  

Season 7 (September 28, 1947 – June 20, 1948; 39 episodes) started with "The Case of the Dog Who Changed His Mind" and ended with an adaptation of "The Adventure of the Veiled Lodger".[48] Season 8 (September 12, 1948 – June 6, 1949; 39 episodes) started with an episode titled "The Case of the Unwelcome Ambassador" and ended with an episode titled "The Adventure of the Red Death".[49] Season 9 (September 21, 1949 – June 14, 1950; 39 episodes) started with an episode with an unknown title.
