In this episode of Your Potential for Everything, host Alex brings on Natalie Allport, a former Canadian national team snowboarder and lifelong entrepreneur. Natalie talks with Alex about how she became an entrepreneur after sports, how she has branded herself in sports, and the trials she faced as a woman in sports.

Natalie became a full-time entrepreneur in sport and started truly cultivating her brand after her snowboarding career ended. While she started her branding while she was still an athlete, it was hard to go full throttle because of her brutal practice schedule.

Being a female in the sports industry is not always easy and there is a lot of discrimination that women face both as an athlete and in the front office. Natalie has pushed her way through those barriers and loves to help others cultivate their personal brands.

    In this episode of Your Potential for Everything, host Alex brings on Morgan Tuck, a former WNBA player, NCAA Women’s basketball standout, & current Director of Franchise Development for the Connecticut Sun. Morgan talks with Alex about playing in the WNBA, her transition to sports business as the Director of Franchise Development for the Connecticut Sun, and her University of Connecticut NCAA Women’s Basketball championships. Morgan decided to pursue her career as a basketball player even though she didn’t have as much natural talent as others. She knew that if she worked hard, she would get a scholarship to play NCAA Women’s Basketball. Not only did she play at the University of Connecticut, but she won four consecutive NCAA championships. Then Morgan went to the WNBA and was drafted third overall in 2016. In 2020, she won a WNBA Championship with the Seattle Storm. Morgan decided it was time to go into sports business in 2021 and she was quickly offered the role of Director of Franchise Development for the Connecticut Sun. She accepted the role in May of 2021 and the Connecticut Sun are currently in the 2021 WNBA playoffs.
