Lama Tsultrim Allione discusses the ambiguities around a right to choose in today’s world and as Buddhist woman.

“From the Buddhist point of view, life begins at conception. Killing is negative karma, however, the circumstances of a pregnancy need to be balanced when thinking about abortion.”

In this episode, Lama Tsultrim reflects on her own experience with abortion, and the importance of a woman’s rights in the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2022 turnover of Roe v. Wade. Lama Tsultrim also shares practices to heal and process parenthood, providing tools to better hold ourselves, and all beings, with compassion.
