Wild on 7th- #117 Pierre Marc Bouchard, Brian Rolston, and the Light at the End of the Tunnel

Carts and King aren't letting the darkness creep in, even though the boys might feel like they're in an endless tunnel right now. For a week that didn't produce much to talk about, the hosts sure had a lot to say. But let's be honest, it was a tough week to be a Minnesota sports fan, but this show is going to change all that! Buckle up for a marathon pod, all leading up to an amazing interview with some legendary Minnesota Wild Alumns in Pierre Marc Bouchard, and Brian Rolston. The guys talk about style on and off the ice, how to dangle across the blue line or on the shootout approach, and how sometimes you just need to take a clap bomb from the hashmarks. Bouchard and Rolston talk about their time under Jacques Lemaire, the fond memories of the Xcel Energy Center, and how team meals were often made at home in those days. The Minnesota Wild celebrate their first 25th anniversary game tonight against the Winnipeg Jets, so listen up for a great pre-game pod, and dust off the old sweaters for a blast from the past.

The Minnesota Wild are kicking off the season with their first long road trip, and they head into Madison Square Garden tonight with high hopes.  Ryan Carter and John King bring you another installment of your favorite hockey podcast. Don't take nutritional or food safety tips from a hockey podcast...or you may end up with blue egg shell on your face.

From deep-fried favorites to sweet treats, they break down all the foods they tried before diving into the latest Wild news — including Marco Rossi’s signing and a look back at Bill Guerin’s one-of-a-kind memorabilia. Special guests Zeev Buium and Lou Nanne join the show to talk about the importance of player signatures and the the current state of USA hockey in the international game. It’s a packed episode you won’t want to miss!

This episode was recorded Tuesday, August 19th — just ahead of the Marco Rossi signing. Carts and King head over to Bill Guerin’s home to dive into all the hot-button topics for the upcoming season. From new dress codes to load management, Billy G isn’t holding back with his takes. Carts and King swing by the TRIA studio for a marathon summer vibe check in the State of Hockey.  The guys talk about their summer plans so far, the never ending trolling feed from the Stanley Cup Champions, the NHL Draft, shaking up free agency, and obviously the vibe check since some major Wild pieces are currently without signed deals.  Can King get any sleep when the kids are out for the night?  I think he'll feel much better when Rossi and Kaprizov "make it home safely," and he can relax.  Hope you can enjoy a wonderful summer pod to hold you over until the Minnesota State Fair.  Details to be announced in the coming weeks.  

"It Felt Different." This was a line that we've heard a lot lately, and hopefully you have also felt this different feeling.
