Christ did not simply rise and then disappear; the cross is not only about the restoration of Christ, as He is the firstfruits. It also points to the restoration of all of us when He returns. We have now come to Jesus' teachings and His parables about the kingdom. If the church could just understand this, everything would change. Most live as if there is no wedding coming or don't understand the meaning of being prepared, having clothed themselves in fine linen. This teaching opens up the parables of Jesus, making you fall in love with them and helping you to be ready for that day when the King has a wedding for His Son. You are invited. But being invited is not enough, as you will see here.
