Julie Finley

On the 6th of August 1994, a cyclist who was taking part in a time trial on Rainford bypass in St Helens found the naked body of a young woman. This would turn out to be 23 year old Julie Finley who had last been seen the night before in Liverpool city centre. Julie had been struggling with a drug addiction and had left the flat where she was staying. The police had to try and figure out how Julie had travelled 15 miles away and why? On January 6th 1991, a father and son went fishing in Pennington Flash in Leigh, Greater Manchester. They discovered body parts floating in bin bags. The remains were that of Maria Christina Requena who worked as a sex worker in Manchester city centre. Her murder caused much uproar and speculation that there was a killer on the loose targeting women in the area. In the early hours of Saturday 25th of August 1991, a police officer came across an abandoned car on a industrial estate in Penketh in Warrington. He realised that this woman had been attacked and had passed away. This was 42 year old Vera Anderson who was a mother and grandmother. On the 18th October 1988, the naked body of 31 year old Linda Donaldson was found off Winwick lane in Lowton, Warrington. She had last been seen in Liverpool's red light district. In June 2002, the remains of a man was found in Charnock Richard in Chorley, Lancashire. In 2018, he was eventually identified as 24 year old Darren Carley who had disappeared from Swindon in January 2002. In September 2010, 23 year old Ricardo Cunha and his girlfriend were at home at their flat in West Norwood, London when a loud bang caught their attention. When Ricardo went to investigate, he was shot and killed.
