On September 30th, Botswana celebrates its Independence, achieved in 1966 when the country transitioned from the Bechuanaland Protectorate to the Republic of Botswana. Under the leadership of Sir Seretse Khama, the young nation chose the path of democracy and stability. Today, the national holiday, known as Boipuso Day, is marked with parades, traditional dances, and family gatherings in the colors blue, black, and white. It is a moment of pride, celebrating the resilience and progress of the country since independence.
