As Robert Kirkman leaves Marvel in 2008, he releases a call to arms for all creators. In the aftermath, significant industry notables fail to offer their support, sharing opposition instead. 

A celebrated indie darling signs with Marvel only to find multiple obstacles in his path. In 2008, he would break from his contract, become a partner at an industry rival and record an infamous and controversial call to arms. In Part 1, Rob takes you through how it all went down.
