**WIN A NYE PASO GETAWAY FROM UP+ADAM HERE**
Today’s show is the moment we’ve been building toward—the culmination of all the love, generosity, and community spirit that Breaking & Entering Christmas represents. Today, we’re bringing you the story of this year’s family, the magic created together, and the moments that will stay, forever.
This year marked our 11th Breaking & Entering Christmas, and it’s been one of the most meaningful ones yet. For weeks, we’ve been talking about the family we’ve been rallying around—Two kids - brother and sister - 10 & 8 —who have endured unimaginable loss, not once, but twice. They lost both parents this year—mom in April and dad in October—and are now being raised by an amazing senior guardian. She’s on a fixed income and has been driving them across the county daily in an older vehicle that hasn’t passed smog in years just so they can stay in their school and hold on to a sense of stability.
While we didn’t manage to put a new car with a bow in her driveway—and trust me, I wanted to—we literally raised enough to help her with a down payment on something reliable, something she said, saved her.
These moments, these connections, are what Breaking & Entering Christmas is all about.
Every year, this tradition reminds us what the season is really about: showing up for others, creating magic where there’s been hardship, and proving what a passionate and loving community can accomplish together.
