This podcast discusses two of the most common gender-affirming surgeries - vaginoplasty in a transfeminine patient and top surgery or mastectomy in a trans masculine patient. These are emotionally high stakes surgeries for our transgender and gender diverse patients. Family doctors have the knowledge and skills to provide routine postoperative care, and equally important, provide reassurance and a safe place for our patients to be heard.
