407: KAMELOT Dark Asylum World Tour 2026 | Concert Review

Kamelot closed out the Dark Asylum World Tour's last North American date at the Fillmore Silver Spring, and Tim and Mike were there for all of it 🤘 VIP tables, two hoodies, kids at a metal show on a school night - plus Visions of Atlantis and Frozen Crown before the main event. On September 13, 2026, HammerFall brought the Freedom World Crusade Tour to Leesburg, Virginia's Tally Ho Theater, a bizarrely small market for a band this massive, but apparently the best night of the whole tour. 🔨 Visa drama killed the Elvening co-headlining dream, but the show still delivered. Mike crossed an ocean to watch Green Carnation perform "A Dark Poem" in its entirety in Kristiansand, Norway — front row: row #2. 🎶 Tim held down the fort stateside while Mike navigated Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Norwegian exchange rates, and a deeply awkward prog fan pre-party. One trilogy, one night, one very expensive plate of spaghetti. 🤘#concertreview #greencarnation #livemusic #metal #metalpodcast #norway #pctd #podcastthemdown #progressive #travelPODCAST THEM DOWNLinks: https://linktr.ee/pctdPatreon: https://patreon.com/podcastthemdownMerch: https://steelresolve.com/podcast-them-down

Judas Priest's second live album gets the full PCTD treatment as Tim, Doug, and Matt tear through Priest...Live! - the Turbo-era encapsulation of one of metal's greatest live acts! 🤘 Two arenas, one killer setlist, and more behind-the-scenes production drama than you'd expect from a straightforward concert record.Note: Technical difficulties hit us early, so you're hearing the 6th or 7th attempt at the intro. Additionally, the Patreon-exclusive *Heavy Metal Parking Lot* watch-along was also generously dropped on YouTube, so nobody misses out. 🎥#albumreview #classicmetal #discographyreview #heavymetal #judaspriest #livealbum #metal #metalpodcast #pctd #podcastthemdownPODCAST THEM DOWNLinks: https://linktr.ee/pctdPatreon: https://patreon.com/podcastthemdownMerch: https://steelresolve.com/podcast-them-down

Four bands under the knife this week 🔪 Australian black metal newcomers Lumen Ad Mortem, Iceland's folk metal outfit Hrafnablót, Portugal's Shadowmare bringing melodic death/thrash heat, and UK prog/power merchants The Spectre Beneath. Tim and the crew tear through the promos, debate Latin grammar, and discover that ghost gums are actually trees. 🌲LUMEN AD MORTEM [Black Metal; Australia] - https://lumenadmortem.bandcamp.com/HRAFNABLÓT [Folk Metal; Iceland] - https://hrafnablot.bandcamp.com/SHADOWMARE [Melodic Death/Thrash Metal; Portugal] - https://shadowmare.bandcamp.com/THE SPECTRE BENEATH [Progressive/Power Metal; UK] - https://thespectrebeneath.bandcamp.com/#blackmetal #folkmetal #hrafnablt #lumenadmortem #melodicdeath #metalpodcast #metalpromo #metalreview #newmetal #pctd #podcastthemdown #powermetal #progressive #shadowmare #thespectrebeneath #thrashmetalPODCAST THEM DOWNLinks: https://linktr.ee/pctdPatreon: https://patreon.com/podcastthemdownMerch: https://steelresolve.com/podcast-them-down

Sergeant TJ Hooker himself started a "metal band" for some reason and has some odd demands for the punk festival he's playing. Episode 400 and we're getting hijacked by a tape deck with abs. 🖖 Doug's all-time favorite Trek episode "I, Mudd" gets the full metal rewatch treatment as Norman the android takes the Enterprise on a four-day joyride while Kirk broods in a deep v-neck. This one's as gloriously unhinged as it sounds. 🤘#android #metal #metalpodcast #pctd #podcast #podcastthemdown #sciencefiction #scifi #startrek #startrektos #tvrewatchPODCAST THEM DOWNLinks: https://linktr.ee/pctdPatreon: https://patreon.com/podcastthemdownMerch: https://steelresolve.com/podcast-them-down
