The Living Year: Autumn
In this seasonal ode, I take you with me to our farm and cottage here in Northern Ireland, noticing the changes happening and the harvests being gathered in. I talk about why these transitional seasons have always captured my imagination. We explore the bittersweet nature of autumn, its lessons in letting go and the natural cycle of growth, abundance, decline and renewal.
As part of my seasonal almanac, I also delve into the traditional names and meanings of the autumn moons and months, the Celtic Wheel of the Year and Samhain.
And, of course, there's an autumnal apple cake recipe along the way! Full recipe over on https://substack.com/@beckyocole
