7. The Verdict

After the trial, we return back to Ireland and our fight for justice continues.

They Jury deliver their verdict after the 7-week long trial. We discuss how this decision was arrived at and possible motivations of the Jury.

We discuss more evidence from the trial including exposing a fabricated theory from the defence team.

We take an in-depth look into the key evidence that formed the prosecutions case including the signed confession and an eye witness testimony of the perpetrators leaving the room.  

Returning to Mauritius for the murder trial. We discuss life in Mauritius for 8 weeks, how the environment has changed and the fact we had a real fight on our hands to seek truth and justice.

On the 10th January 2011, Michaela McAreavey was murdered in her hotel room in Mauritius, Hotel Lux, Grande Gaube formerly Legends Hotel whilst on honeymoon with her new husband, John McAreavey.
