The departure of Trev Alberts, who left for a position at Texas A&M, came as a seismic shock to many - from those within the athletic department to the wider community of Nebraska and Husker fans nationwide. His move was swiftly followed by the announcement of Troy Dannen's appointment as the new Athletic Director, arriving from Washington, signaling a new era for Nebraska Athletics. The impact of Alberts's departure cannot be understated; it was a moment that reverberated across the state and amongst the Husker faithful far and wide. Yet, amidst this change, the mission remains unwavering for those at the heart of Husker Athletics: to forge a path of success on the playing fields and ensure financial robustness. Trev Alberts leaves Nebraska for Texas A&M. It is a move that almost nobody in Nebraska saw coming. Today, he imparts his knowledge as a coach for the Warren Academy, a youth development league founded by former Husker Steve Warren. It's safe to say the glory years of Nebraska basketball were the Danny Nee Years. The 1993-94 team recently reunited at Pinnacle Bank Arena to celebrate the 1994 Big 8 Conference Tournament Championship. Bruce Chubick was a captain on that team and an All-Tournament team selection. Chubick started 67 games, scored 878 points, and had 618 rebounds for his Husker career.  Chubick is now the Head Coach at Omaha Central.
