This week's conversation about Intermittent Fasting with Carla centres on an instagram post from someone I admire greatly in the celiac world.  Selena DeVries is a Registered Dietitian who I know from interviews on my other podcast "A Canadian Celiac Podcast" and her work with the Canadian Celiac Association. This week I chat with Tamie as she is in the final couple of weeks before her half marathon.  Although Tamie is taking on a physical challenge that I would never think to take on, the mind games and the discipline that she must strive for is something we can all relate to.  You might be surprised how much your daily life resembles someone who in my mind is a very accomplished athlete.  We talk about energy smoothies and how she fits in making time for her runs with all her other family obligations - something most of us can relate to. This week Carla and I catch up. She has had success with her 800 calorie days, but realized she just couldn't keep it up with family holidays and summer events.  She is looking to getting back into an exercise routine, now that her injury is on the mend.  As well, she is challenged to plan restaurant choices for her upcoming family trip.  The good news is she's close to her weight goal!
