Gospel Part 1: The Promise

Everybody has a word they have used for years without ever being sure what it means, and most of us would rather keep nodding than admit it. This one gets said constantly, sung about, printed on signs, and when a lifelong insider finally worked up the courage to ask what it meant, the answer started four thousand years earlier than anyone expected. It began with a seventy-five-year-old man with no children, no map, and a very strange invitation from a voice he was not looking for. What he was told under the stars that night is still being kept, and it has more to do with what spills out of you than with anything you could earn.
