Colorado Snowsports Hall Of Fame 2026 - FNRad S12E5

Send us Fan MailJeff Grell, Chris Pappas, Tracey and Tim Canaday, and Trent Bush are 4 of the 5 inductees into the Hall of Fame for 2026. Each one has their own unique contribution to snowboarding and all of them are certified legends. I travelled to Colorado thanks to an invite from Rick Alden who partnered me up with MFM and Pat Milbery, two legends in their own right, to drive from Denver up past Vail to the celebration. We rocked it. So much fun. Here's an episode full of info about two past guests and hoepfully two future ones...Support the showCheck us out at https://www.fnradpodcast.comFNRad 12 is presented by Linestryhttps://linestry.com/FNRad 12 Sponsors:Burton Snowboardshttps://www.burton.comBluebird Coffee Tuning and Rentalshttps://bluebirdsquamish.com/Phantom Helihttps://phantomheli.com/Anon Opticshttps://www.burton.com/en-ca/collections/gogglesThe Pro Standard Step On and Supermatic Quick Releasehttps://www.prostandard.com/products/push-button-quick-release-upgrade-for-step-on-bindingsMint Tourshttps://minttours.com/FNRad 12 SupportPacific Boarderhttps://pacificboarder.com/Mount Seymourhttps://mtseymour.ca/Grouse Mountainhttps://www.grousemountain.com/Cypress Mountainhttps://www.cypressmountain.com/Baldy Mountain Resort in Osoyoos BC...

Send us Fan MailPericles Perdomo helps run the brand new Burton flagship store in New York City. He discovered snowboarding through the Chill program which eventually sent him to Camp of Champions in Blackcomb. Ken asked him to join camp as an employee. Next he built a sustainable business empire in Puerto Rico before returning to the states to snowboard and work where it all started in NYC. While Ken Ach and I were in NYC we stopped by Dave Lee's Signal exp space where he was hosting Dale Crover for his album launch. Dale played a cover of Harvest Moon and The Bit (a Melvins song... he's also the drummer for the Melvins oh and he drummed in Nirvana for a demo that became Incesticide and Bleach songs...)Enjoy!Support the showCheck us out at https://www.fnradpodcast.comFNRad 12 is presented by Linestryhttps://linestry.com/FNRad 12 Sponsors:Burton Snowboardshttps://www.burton.comBluebird Coffee Tuning and Rentalshttps://bluebirdsquamish.com/Phantom Helihttps://phantomheli.com/Anon Opticshttps://www.burton.com/en-ca/collections/gogglesThe Pro Standard Step On and Supermatic Quick Releasehttps://www.prostandard.com/products/push-button-quick-release-upgrade-for-step-on-bindingsMint Tourshttps://minttours.com/FNRad 12 SupportPacific Boarderhttps://pacificboarder.com/Mount Seymourhttps://mtseymour.ca/Grouse Mountainhttps://www.grousemountain.com/Cypress Mountainhttps://www.cypressmountain.com/Baldy Mountain Resort in Osoyoos BC...

Send us Fan MailPavva is a Sami Joiker from Northern Sweden, well actually he's from Sapmi a land that used to cover much of Scandinavia and Russia. The Sami are Reindeer herders and Pavva is no exception. He was my room mate at Ricksgransen during the King Of The Hill 30th anniversary. I was honoured to share a living space with him during the event and we forged a killer friendship. Abbe, Theo, and Ingemar put on an absolutely magical event and Pavva was a huge part of the schedule playing music at the opening ceremonies, throughout the event, and to close it up! He was the first person in Sweden I sat down with to interview. He's definitely the first pro snowboarder on Swatch... and he influenced the way the snowboarding grew from it's infancy into where we are now in a big way. Send us Fan MailGigi Rüf is an Austrian legendary pro snowboarder whose smooth style and powerful riding got him featured in dozens of movies. Gigi spent 12 years on Burton working with the Seven guys and helping to build Un Inc. His first international sponsor was Volcom so when they started making boards he rode those for a couple of years after Burton and then went on to make his own company, Slash. If Gigi isn't in your top ten snowboarders you need to go back and watch his parts.
