I am a Dutch photographer, 57 years old, married, one daughter and living in a small town in Germany, close to Nijmegen (in the Netherlands) at the Dutch/German border. My working area? The Netherlands, Germany or anywhere in the world where my camera follows me … My journey started with my father being a press photographer, getting me interested in his work and then him becoming my mentor. By that time, there was no digital revolution. You made the picture in your mind - worked your 36 exposures and then had to check your work during the development in the dark room. But I’m certainly not romancing the good old days – in these hectic times, being able to check the result at an instant is very comforting. Still, trying to work as if we have less exposures available rather than unlimited memory cards sharpens your view and results. Digital post processing then finalizes the thing I want to do: create something special. Why I love to work mainly with natural light? It is so challenging - there is no second time around - you will never find the same light setting again – so it also possible to create unique pictures. Photography rewards me with many interesting persons, experiences and the possibility to express my creativity in which there is never a dull moment. JOJO ALMAZORA SEBASTIAN Jojo is a devoted and compassionate nurse in the Operating Theatre at a busy Metropolitan Hospital in Sydney. However, on weekends, this orthopaedic nurse transforms into charming and dashing tuxedo attired singer-entertainer and masters of ceremony. A veteran of the United States Military Forces, he could be seen regularly in concerts where he performs as a front act for artist both locally and internationally. He is a main staple in the Local and International Pageant in the last 17 years. He was named the Australian Best Pageant Host in the Australian Golden Sash Awards for both 2019 and 2020. At the beginning of 2020, he was named as the Most Influential Person of the year and Musician of the Year in the Ava’s World Magazine Awards. In the same year, this former University Professor, participated in Sydney Sings for Hope Concert for the benefit of the frontliners for the Bush Fire that happened in NSW. Furthermore, he has received a nomination for the Manila’s Best Dressed for 2020-2021 to represent Australia in the prestigious Annual Event. In 2021, Jojo aspires to broaden his horizon as an individual and concentrate on his advocacies he been helping in the past 10 years. His advocacies includes following: (1) children and (2) Volunteerism. For the Children, he continues to support various charitable institution and fundraised for Sydney Children’s Hospital and Cerebral Palsy Foundation. He also provides scholarship for the less fortunate in the Philippines to continue college education. One of the project he really wanted to concentrate on 2021 is Community Service by Volunteerism. Volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity where an individual or group provides services for no financial gain. Volunteering is often intended to promote goodness or to improve human quality of life. Volunteering may have positive benefits for the volunteer as well as for the person or community served. Jojo highly believe that if our community comes together and volunteer even for just a couple of hours a month under any charitable institution and non-profit organisation – it will make a positive difference on the personal and professional aspects of all individuals involve, especially oneself. He furthers state that he would like for the community to realise to volunteer is a social responsibility of all its member especially to the marginalised and disadvantaged. Last year 2020, Jojo decided to represent NSW in the Mr Diamond International. Last 17th April 2021, he was crowned as the Mr Diamond International 2021 Winner. Not only did he win the title, Jojo also bagged several almost all of the Special Awards - Mr Diamond Designer King; Mr Diamond Congeniality; Mr Diamond Public’s Choice; Mr Diamond Talent King; Mr Diamond Social Media King; Mr Diamond Runway King; Mr Diamond Interview King; Mr Diamond Pageant Planet Choice; and Mr Diamond Publicity King. Cooking for a celebrity looks like a great job, after interviewing American chef Stanley St Charles, I confirmed that concept. St Charles has been cooking for Celebrity Artist Eugene Mosley for the past 7 years, in that time, a friendship has formed between the two men. They rely on each other, Mosley even takes his chef to all places he travels to, currently, the two are planning a trip to Philippines & Dubai. I asked St Charles what he liked mostly about his job, I was hoping he could say cooking, surprisingly he said Mr Mosley, a celebrity who is humble enough to be liked that much. Who is Stanley St Charles you may ask, Stanley was born in Witchita, Kansas, later moved to Louisiana. He loved to cook from a young age, by the time he was 15, Stanley had already started commercial cooking. Who said, chefs are made? This one makes us know the obvious, chefs are born.
