Meghan Marohn was a poet, a teacher, an advocate, a friend, and a soul who saw the interconnectedness of life in all its fragile intricacies. However, this woman who fought tirelessly against all that is wrong in the world went missing on Sunday, March 27th, 2022 in Lee, Massachusetts. Her remains were located a little over five months later-- on September 1st. Was her death the result of an tragic accident, or was she the victim of foul play? Eleven-year-old Shannon Paulk was excited to visit with her friends and neighbors in the Candlestick Mobile Home Park in Prattville, Alabama on August 16th, 2001 after spending much of the summer away with family. She wanted to see friends and visit neighbors’ animals. Many neighbors recall seeing or speaking with the friendly Shannon that morning. There is something bittersweet about growing up. For the child, they step into new roles with new responsibilities. They learn to earn trust from the adults in their lives. In return, the adults have to let go just a little of the baby they have raised. They watch with tears in their eyes as some of the innocence of their child slips away into a teen and one day adult.
