After a tough evening at his five-a-side footie match last night, Joe’s again wondering if it’s time to hang up his boots. Is it all now too physically demanding on his 50 year old body? Which leads him and David to wondering about the general markers of ageing and what, if anything, they can do to hold them back. David’s in a brilliant mood this morning (ie. he’s had 2 double expressos), which slightly wrong-foots Joe to begin with. He’s just been doing some household chores and is really not as upbeat as David. So the pod's all a little imbalanced for the first 15 mins or so. It was David’s 51st Birthday recently, so Joe kicks things off by finding out what he got up to and what presents he was given. It turns out that one gift was a shirt, which was a little too ‘Woodcuttery’ for David’s liking. So the chat soon turns to buying clothes, for both themselves and their other halves, which all gets a little heated. They also talk about discomfort when rummaging in clothes shops, being bad at small-talk, David looking into moving again and some listener feedback on the MMU’s. Joe’s just completed his most recent Mystery Meet Up, which was an evening of Go-Kart racing. So David digs in to find out what Joe thought of it and how well he performed on the track.
