Why was there so much violence at gigs in the old days?

STOP THIEF!!! Across the world copyright law is quietly changing or being changed, why? AI models have to learn from somewhere and be trained on existing art. Yet recognising this or compensating artists is a pain in the proverbials for governments who want investment in their countries and economies, so copyright laws are being challenged and changed. A group of artists released a silent album last week in protest, calling it theft!! I discuss this, how artists have very little ability to stand in the way of digital progress. A few weeks ago I posted on my Instagram (nemtheanga_primordial) some old ticket stubs from the mid 80s to the early 90s and sure enough the violence that surrounded those shows got mentioned in the comments, so I thought I'd revisit that, the reasons why it was happening, a stabbing at a punk gig in 1977 which cast a shadow over gigs in the State for years and I ask, was it just a British isles and Irish thing? if so, why?
