EPISODE 474: BEST of 2025

TALK TIME LIVE is here for the new year with a look back at what made 2025 so great as a fan of all things anime, comics, movies, and games. I will talk about what I felt stood out last year and more.

In our final episode of 2025, we conclude on a bittersweet note as I discuss the life and legacy of Rob and Michelle Reiner, and review his highly anticipated sequel to his legendary first movie, SPINAL TAP II: The End Continues. I also discuss why MCU fans shouldn't be upset about the recent Avengers: Doomsday teaser and more. 

The Game Awards beats out the Super Bowl? XBOX and physical game distribution reach a new low. I check out the demo for Final Fantasy 7 Remake on the Switch 2 and give my grade for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.

THIS WEEK: We continue the talk about the Shade heard around the gaming and fandom world as I discuss why the cast and crew of Mortal Kombat 2 isn't sweating the cast of Street Fighter. I also share my thoughts on the trailers for Supergirl, Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2, and, of course, the end of an era in anime as My Hero Academia says farewell. All this, plus my review of Netflix's Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft season 2.

This week, we are running wild with news and conversations as we are combining both video games and fandom news this week including the huge news regarding Netflix and Warner Bros., as well as a review of Marvel Cosmic Invasion. 

YANNICK BELZIL, Narrative Designer at TRIBUTE GAMES, returns to discuss the development of the much-anticipated new brawler MARVEL COSMIC INVASION. He also reflects on the impact of their previous hit, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: SHREDDER’S REVENGE, and the next mega project he and the team are currently working on.

THIS WEEK: We've reached our final stop before Thanksgiving, and I delve into this week's latest news, including the status of the latest TMNT film project, a rare comic book breaking auction records, and the top 5 reasons to be thankful this year within our fandoms. Then our TALK TOPIC of the WEEK reviews the latest Netflix live adaptation of Last Samurai Standing based on the graphic novel by Shogo Imamura.

I give my predictions for this year's Game Awards nominees and my review of Ninja Gaiden 4, developed by Platinum Games.
