Warrior Spirit Warrior Life with Jodi G

    51:24

We wrap up season 3 this week with Jodi Goldberg. Jodi is currently an interior and landscape designer after having a flourishing career in fashion.  She and her husband moved their family to Santa Barbara where Jodi spent years renovating and designing their family home on Olive Mill Road, drawing upon her styling career and global travels for inspiration. This marked the beginning of her prolific interior design career, in which she has been the creative force behind many of Santa Barbara’s most stylish spaces since she laid her roots here 21 years ago. In a cruel twist of fate, Jodi lost her beloved Montecito home in the 2018 mudslide and narrowly escaped with her life. Just 30 days after moving into her new home, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer and battled for her life for the next 18 months as the global pandemic was taking over the world.  Jodi’s warrior spirit was lit up as she had to learn to surrender and trust that the universe was holding her. Her self-care became her spiritual awakening. Her love of family and work provided motivation for healing as well as the support from her soulmate husband. Cancer taught Jodi to be present in the moment with each breath and provided her an opportunity to learn self-love in a new way. This heartfelt conversation with Jodi will inspire and motivate each of you to learn to pause, take a deep breath and practice what it means to truly love yourself. I encourage you all to follow @jodigdesigns to see her incredible talent and vision and if you are in the Santa Barbara area: www.jodigdesigns.com And to all of you out there battling illness, heartache and trauma, I am sending you hugs and ask you to give yourself some grace as you learn how to navigate it all in the midst of these trying global time. Here is some additional inspiration from Jodi to keep you going as well, “Time doesn’t stop because you get sick, or because you lose a house. You have to find within yourself what is going to make you keep wanting to go forward.”  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
