I wish someone had told me sooner — that I would never reach my own path by trying to follow others. In fact, the more I tried to follow in the footsteps of others, the less and less I’d feel in my power.  When we live according to the rules and guidelines of others, it’s like using the wrong map to find our way home. Your life will always call for you to forge your own way. To walk away from the road you’ve seen ahead, shaped by the opinions, thoughts and expectations of others, and instead tap into your own insights about what is right for YOU.  Will there be doubt, uncertainty and the overwhelming temptation to run back to the familiar road? Of course.  But the more we make peace with the uncertainty of the road ahead, the more we can let go of our resistance and start to flow with where it naturally leads us.
